Our Story
Nest in the Desert was born from one simple belief: Home should feel personal.
After years of designing homes for family and friends, founder Robyn Halpern recognized a need for unique, soulful furnishings that help people create spaces with character and heart.
Long before Nest in the Desert opened its doors in Oro Valley, Robyn owned and operated a beloved home décor and furniture store in Peoria that became a community favorite. After what she thought would be retirement, she realized she missed the joy of helping people create homes they truly loved.
That passion inspired the opening of Nest in the Desert in Oro Valley.
Today, that journey has come full circle with the opening of Nest in the Desert Studio in Peoria, bringing Robyn's signature design philosophy back to the community she has called home for nearly two decades.
Together, our Oro Valley showroom and Peoria Studio allow us to serve homeowners throughout Southern Arizona, the Northwest Valley, and customers nationwide through our growing online store.

Nest in the Desert began with Robyn’s dream to create a space where beauty, story, and soul come together in every detail
Robyn is the creative soul behind the Nest in the Desert, known for her impeccable design instincts and her passion for curating pieces that feel meaningful and collected. A few things Robyn loves: antique markets, layered textiles, handmade ceramics, cozy corners, and the magic of a well-styled shelf.
When she’s not in the store, you’ll find her spending time with family, traveling, cheering on her favorite sports teams, and spoiling her rescue pup, Miss Mabel. Robyn is a passionate advocate for animal rescue and elephant conservation, and she loves hosting creative dinner parties with family and friends.
Fun Fact:
Robyn is absolutely obsessed with Halloween! Each October, Nest in the Desert transforms into a spooky-chic wonderland you have to see to believe.
